Support to the actual execution of the Implementation Plan for Photovoltaics of the SET Plan and monitoring the Implementation Plan’s delivery

Vehicle-integrated Photovoltaics (VIPV) refers to the mechanical, electrical and design-technical integration of photovoltaic modules into vehicles such as cars, trucks, trains, buses, boats, aircraft, drones, etc. The PV modules blend seamlessly into the vehicle exterior and are connected to electric loads or the drive battery in electric vehicles. Simultaneously, the PV modules replace other components of the vehicle, e.g. the roof or the bonnet of a car. VIPV increases the mileage of electrically powered vehicles and improves their CO2 balance. Due to the plethora of applications and possibilities, and due to the high aesthetic expectations on integration into the vehicle design as well as the high safety and reliability expectations, there is still a large need for research collaboration, especially between both the transport industry and the PV industry.
